*UPDATE* The Stone Soup Storytelling Festival that was to be held April 17-19 is now postponed due to COVID-19. Follow Stone Soup’s Facebook page to keep updated.

The annual Stone Soup Storytelling Festival will be held in downtown Woodruff on April 17-19, 2020.

The majority of the festivities will be held at MUSE 134 at 134 S. Main St. and the Woodruff Community Center at 116 S. Main St. Check out stonesoup.org for more details.

This year’s headliner act is Lona Bartlett, a professional storyteller, puppeteer and educator who has performed throughout the U.S. and internationally for more than 30 years.

Cooper Braun from Colorado, Simon Brooks from New Hampshire, Yasu Ishida of South Carolina and Paul Strickland from Kentucky round out the featured tellers performing at this year’s festival.

Dubbed the official storytelling festival of South Carolina, the Stone Soup Storytelling Festival is built upon the various versions of the traditional story of Stone Soup. The moral of the story is that by working together, with everyone contributing what they can, a greater good is achieved.
