Rev. Thomas provided a reflection on his service and pastoral tenure at Cedar Grove Baptist Church.  He stated, “One of the many things that I enjoyed about pastoring was preaching and teaching the word of God.”

He has pastored only one church during his entire pastoral journey because he indicated that he felt that Cedar Grove was the church where God wanted him to be and he chose to be obedient to the assignment on his life.

During his retirement, Rev. Thomas’ plans to care for his wife and travel. Specifically, he would love to visit California again. He will also continue to enjoy reading and spending time with his family.

He plans to continue collaborating with local clergy from diverse backgrounds. “Considering the climate of today’s world, I appreciate coming together with other religious leaders to discuss the affairs of the community. Additionally, I plan to continue the dialogue with community leaders to rectify issues impacting our community,” said Rev. Thomas.

Upon his retirement, Rev. Thomas wants the members of Cedar Grove to continue to love, fellowship, and spread the message of the gospel that he shared with them over the past 25 years.
