An Enoree woman was found dead in her car in front of the First Citizens Bank on Main Street in Woodruff on Sunday July 12.
The deceased has been identified as 62-year-old Sheryl Ann Stevens. Her last known residence was with her brother at Grace Chapel Road in Enoree.
She was found dead in her car by a person who was not identified. This person flagged down a Laurens County Deputy who just so happened to be driving by at the time, according to the Woodruff Police Chief, Greg Ryan.
The Woodruff police were dispatched to the scene at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
The Spartanburg County Coroner reported no trauma and nothing suspicious was found at the scene.
Cause of death has not yet been determined.
“The case is still open as the coroner’s office has not determined a cause of death yet. We will leave the case open until we have a cause of death,” said Ryan.
