City of Woodruff Hires New Code Enforcement Officer

At the August City Council meeting it was announced that the City of Woodruff hired a new code enforcement officer.

The new code enforcement officer’s is Clark Taylor. He is originally from Saluda, S.C. but has recently been in Alaska teaching construction to the natives. Taylor is also certified in international property maintenance and has 30 years in the construction field.

Some duties of this position include inspection of rental property to comply with the City’s rental ordinance and making sure properties are in compliance with the international property maintenance code, which includes overgrown grass, depilated structure, unsafe structures, abandoned cars, etc.).

The position change comes as a result of the City transitioning to a new company for code and inspection services.
