Third Graders Describe Their Best School Day

By: McKenzie Berryhill
The best day of this school year to me is the Valentine’s Day party my class had. We watched a movie and got to eat chips. We also got to eat candy and play outside.
What I will remember most about this school year is mastering multiplication. This took a lot of work, and I had to study all the facts for ones, twos, threes, fours, fives, sixes, sevens, eights, nines, and tens. It took a while, but I got it and am proud of myself.

My best day this year was Valentine’s Day because we didn’t have to do a lot of work and we got to have so much fun.
I’ll mostly remember this year because of my friends. We helped each other and my teacher helped us too.

My best day this year was pj day. It was my best day because we to wear pajamas and be comfortable all day.
What I’ll remember most about the year is that we had to wear masks all the time. It’s hard to breathe in masks, but they helped to keep us safe.

My best day was when I had after school and we had a gaming day where we could earn prizes and tickets to cash in for even more prizes. We all had so much fun on that day and we were still learning.
I’ll mostly remember the masks we had to wear. I know we wore them so that we wouldn’t get sick or spread germs, but it made my face hot. Really hot, and it made it hard to breathe good.

Meeting my 3rd grade teacher for the first time was the best day of the year. She was such a nice person and welcomed me. Now she is very MEGA nice. The nicest one EVER!
I’ll mostly remember this year for Covid-19. Our school had rules about wearing masks and spacing out in class. It was strange and sometimes boring because it was all so different. The worst part was breathing. It was hard to breathe under those masks all day.

I didn’t have a best day because all of my days were good. I love my teachers. My math teacher, reading teacher, and my afterschool teacher were all great when they taught me new things and helped me when I had bad days.
I will remember this year for all of the fun I had learning and that I got to make new friends. My friends helped me not to be lonely. And when I cried, they helped me then too. And my teachers helped me to not feel sad. I love all of my friends and my teachers, and they are what I will remember the most about this school year.

The best day this school year for me was the day when I made a gallon robot so it could help me remember gallon, quart, pint, and cups. It was such a neat way to help us remember something important, and we had fun making it.
What I’ll remember most about this school year is getting to go outside to play without a mask on and eat popsicles.

My best school day was when we played reading games in after school with my teacher and friends. In one station, we got to take a break from reading games and play Apples to Apples. I chose for the category card to be “silent.” My friends gave me the card they had that would fit with the word “silent” and somebody gave me a card that said “Barbie Doll.” I don’t know why I thought that was so funny, but I laughed and laughed and laughed. Probably the hardest I’ve ever laughed at school. I mean I laughed so hard that I fell out of my chair, and then my teacher started laughing so hard that she had tears coming down her face. Then the whole group started laughing. I needed that laugh that day because it was hard to go to afterschool after you already worked all day real hard in class.
I’ll mostly remember getting to play outside with my friends and how we got to take off our mask once we were outside.
