The Woodruff Planning Commission asked the developer requesting the rezoning of a parcel to develop a four-unit apartment building to come back to the June meeting with more detailed plans on the proposed development.
“I would like to see something a little more concrete before we decide to rezone the parcel,” said Commission Chair Clay Varner. “With a little more detail, I don’t really have a problem with it, but this just doesn’t show us much.”
Jason Tabares requested the rezoning from residential to multi-family to allow him to build a four-unit apartment building as an investment property. Tabares, who already owns several rental properties in Woodruff, intends to build the units himself, so he hasn’t prepared detailed architectural documents.
Varner and the other commission members all appeared to have no issue in general with rezoning the parcel at 347 Allen Street but just wanted more detail on the overall aesthetic of the building and surrounding landscape.
Tabares told the commission he understood their concern and agreed to return to the June meeting with more detailed drawings and plans.
