Small City, Big Heart

Woodruff is experiencing unprecedented growth and change these days. One need only blink, and a new landscape of activity and change dots the countryside. A new Woodruff High School, BMW’S battery Facility, and the housing boom are just small examples of extraordinary growth. But all of this doesn’t make Woodruff, Woodruff.

It’s the heart, care, and giving of community spirit that erupts in and spills out over events like Heart and Soul Fest, designed to assist families in back-to-school supplies, or the latest Great Start project helping teachers and schools facilitate classroom needs, the Halloween Extravaganza that sees over 30 local businesses and churches reach out to help create a safe environment for kids to have fun, get lots of treats and perhaps a scare or two. It’s the community coming together to enjoy a summer of music or a carriage ride and the lights of McKinney Park. Yes, those things make a community, its people, and the spirit of giving.

The list of events outlined in the Community Calendar below is provided for our community to prepare for an exciting season of fun, food, fellowship, and connectivity.
