Alveta Jenkins Brown, a distinguished alumna of Woodruff High School’s Class of 1988, has built a remarkable career rooted in service, leadership, and compassion. A standout volleyball player, Alveta went on to play for Spartanburg Methodist College’s Pioneers, graduating in 1991. She furthered her education at Limestone University, earning a degree in Social Work in 1993. A proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Alveta’s achievements were recognized with her induction into Woodruff High School’s Hall of Fame in 2000. Now, Alveta has brought her skills and dedication to the local community, launching a non-medical in-home care agency that embodies her passion for supporting others.
Brown’s heartfelt devotion to caring for others, especially seniors, and 31 years of healthcare experience led her to establish Healing Touches Home Care, LLC in 2018.
