Christmas Art Market Brings Holiday Spirit and Community Support to Woodruff

The Woodruff High School Art Department is gearing up for an exciting event that promises to bring holiday cheer and a strong sense of community spirit. On Saturday, November 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the high school gym will be transformed into a festive Christmas Art Market, open to all who want to shop, create, and give back.

The event, organized by Samantha Brown Dosher and the Art Department, offers a full day of local shopping and family-friendly activities. With over twenty confirmed vendors, shoppers will find a variety of unique items, from handmade jewelry and comic books to custom holiday décor. For those looking to add a personal touch to their holiday style, a custom t-shirt bar will also be available. The market is an ideal opportunity to support local artisans and check some items off your Christmas shopping list.

In addition to shopping, the Christmas Art Market will feature free crafts for kids, ensuring fun for the whole family. Families can also capture a memorable holiday moment with pictures with Santa, which will be available for purchase along with ceramic Christmas ornaments. Proceeds from these sales will directly support the high school Art Department.

The event also has a heartfelt purpose beyond holiday fun. In response to the effects of Hurricane Helene on the surrounding areas, the Christmas Art Market will serve as a collection point for essential items, including diapers, wipes, toiletries, and school supplies, all to aid affected families. Furthermore, a raffle will be held during the market, with all proceeds going to hurricane relief efforts.

For more information, the Art Department has created a [Facebook event] where updates and details will be posted. The community is encouraged to join, share, and spread the word to help make this event a resounding success.

With holiday shopping, community support, and festive family activities, the Christmas Art Market is shaping up to be a special day for Woodruff. Join in on November 16 to kick off the holiday season with joy, creativity, and a spirit of giving.
