PRESS RELEASE FROM SPARTANBURG COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT FOUR:
Spartanburg School District Four is pleased to announce that Dr. Aaron Fulmer has been selected unanimously by the District Four Board of Trustees as the next Superintendent. Dr. Fulmer is a twenty-seven year veteran in education and brings experience, dedication, and leadership to this role.
Dr. Fulmer began his career in education as a science teacher and coach at Chapman High School. He has served in various leadership positions in District 4 including Assistant Principal at Woodruff Middle School, Principal at Woodruff Elementary School, and Principal at Woodruff High School. He has also served as the Assistant Superintendent of Personnel, Student Services and Operations in Spartanburg Four two years and most recently as Acting Superintendent. Dr. Fulmer consistently demonstrates his commitment to fostering academic excellence and supporting educators. Dr. Fulmer said, “I am grateful to be chosen to serve the District Four community. I look forward to serving students and equipping teachers. District Four is a special place; we all will have to work together to hold onto our core values while embracing a growing community and taking advantage of new opportunities. I am very grateful to my wife and family for their support.”
Chairman Tony Davis said, “Dr. Fulmer has served the district for over two decades and has a track record of making a positive difference for students. The board is confident Dr. Fulmer is the right man to lead District Four.”
