The Woodruff Middle School Lady Cubs’ basketball team capped another sensation season with yet another championship, winning the Foothills Conference Tournament championship game over Landrum, 24-10, on Monday night.
The Lady Cubs finished the season with a 14-1 record and avenged their only loss of the season, which came to Landrum, in their emphatic title game victory.
For Woodruff Middle School and head coach Daniel Addis, it is the eighth championship for the program in 12 years, as the Lady Cubs have built a middle school dynasty in Spartanburg County.
The Woodruff High School varsity girls’ program has been one of the strongest in the area over the past decade and may well continue with a new influx of talent entering the program by way of another championship-winning team.
Congratulations to the Lady Cubs!
