Adults in Spartanburg County who started college but never completed their degree now have a dedicated support system to help them return to school and finish what they started. Re: Degree, a program spearheaded by OneSpartanburg, Inc. and supported by the Spartanburg Academic Movement’s ‘Movement 2030’, is designed to assist thousands of individuals in the county who have some college experience but no degree.
Studies show that completing a degree leads to greater social and economic mobility, increased career opportunities, and higher earning potential. To make the process easier, local colleges have established partnerships aimed at providing additional resources, campus-specific guidance, and one-on-one advocacy for returning students.
Beyond offering academic advising and enrollment assistance, participating institutions have also made intentional changes to academic programs, policies, and professional practices to better serve adult learners. This collective effort highlights Spartanburg County’s commitment to fostering an environment where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
Prospective students are encouraged to explore the resources available through Re: Degree and take the next step toward completing their education.
