WOODRUFF, S.C. — Country artist and hometown favorite Nikki Lane is returning to her roots for a heartfelt homecoming show on Friday, June 7, just days after opening for country music superstar Chris Stapleton on June 4 at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville.
The concert, which was originally planned for McKinney Park, has now grown so large in response that it’s moving to the heart of downtown Woodruff—Main Street in front of Tap Three, a bar owned by Lane’s longtime friend Ben Harrison.
In a post shared to her social media, Lane described the performance as deeply personal. It will take place just days before the one-year anniversary of her father’s passing, a milestone that has heavily influenced her recent recordings and reflections.“Many people I’ve met in my hometown of Woodruff speak of how much my dad bragged about my music and career,” she wrote. “One of those was my childhood friend and likeminded buddy Ben Harrison—they used to chat about me playing a concert in the ballpark under his old ‘bedroom’ at City Hall.”
That dream is now becoming a reality—just with a bigger stage and a bigger crowd.
The June 7 event will feature a free outdoor performance by Lane alongside Gritty Flyright, and promises to be a family-friendly celebration of music, memories, and Woodruff’s small-town charm. “Woodruff was a one red-light town when I was growing up,” Lane noted. “Things are changing really quickly for this old town—and I’m hoping our show will be a record blowout day.” Fans are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and enjoy a night of live music in a town that continues to embrace its native daughter as she brings her Nashville-honed talent back to where it all began.
