In the early morning hours of October 6, 2015, around 1:15 a.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire near 215 Carlisle Street. When they arrived, they found 23-year-old Markeith Terrell Tracy lying unresponsive in the front yard with gunshot wounds to his leg and torso. The Spartanburg Police Department continues to investigate and is urging anyone with information about this incident to come forward.
A son, brother, and brand-new father at the time of his death, Tracy’s family said he was loved by many. They hope, almost 10 years later, that the community can help bring justice.
