Congratulations to Lynne Greene of Woodruff Middle School, who has been named the 2025 School Nutrition Association of South Carolina (SNA of SC) Employee of the Year.

This prestigious award recognizes school nutrition professionals whose hard work, dedication, and positive spirit make a lasting impact on students and school communities every day. Greene’s recognition highlights her commitment to ensuring that students in Woodruff Middle School in Spartanburg County School District Four have access to nutritious meals served with care and kindness.

“Lynne exemplifies what it means to serve with heart,” said Audra Terry, Nutrition Director for Spartanburg School District Four and president elect for SNA of SC. “Her energy and dedication inspire both students and staff.”

Greene expressed gratitude for the honor, saying the recognition reflects the collective effort of the entire school nutrition team.

“I truly love what I do,” Greene said. “It’s more than serving meals—it’s about caring for our students and knowing that we can help make their day a little brighter.”

The School Nutrition Association of South Carolina serves as the primary advocate for quality school nutrition programs across the state. Its mission is to ensure that all children have access to healthy meals during the school day while supporting its members through education, professional development, and networking opportunities.

In addition to providing training and resources to members, the Association offers scholarships and promotes professional standards within school nutrition programs. Its outreach also extends beyond schools to benefit parents, teachers, administrators, and the broader community.

Greene’s honor reflects the vital role that school nutrition employees play in student success—nourishing bodies, supporting learning, and building stronger school communities one meal at a time.
