Unsolved, But Not Unseen

A 17-year-old boy was shot and killed early Saturday morning on September 20, 2025, when gunfire erupted outside a home on Amherst Drive in Spartanburg, according to the Spartanburg City Police Department.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting just before 1 a.m. and discovered Zi’on Renaldo Myssiah Jordan, 17, unresponsive inside the residence. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say Jordan was sitting in the living room when someone opened fire from the front yard, striking him at least twice through a front window.

Police have not released any information about a possible suspect or motive. The investigation remains ongoing.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. Those with details relevant to the case are asked to contact the Spartanburg Police Department at (864) 596-2065 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIMESC (274-6372).

Friends and family are pleading for justice for Zi’on and closure in the wake of the tragic loss. If you know something or saw something, please say something.
