Two bodies found Thursday, December 15, 2005, near Woodruff appear to be the victims of a double-homicide, the Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office said.

A friend found 16-year-old Donnie Miller Jr. and Mardell Hunter Jr., 43, in the back room of a one-story house at 868 Miller Road Woodruff SC.  The two died of gunshot wounds, said an investigator with the coroner’s office. Investigators aren’t sure how long Miller and Hunter were dead before being discovered, though estimates place their deaths most likely that Wednesday night or earlier that Thursday morning.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office is treating this as a “suspicious death” investigation until more information but needs the community’s help. If you have any information about this double homicide, please contact 1-888-CRIME-SC.

With the 20-year anniversary of this tragedy around the corner, please help investigators solve this case. Help the Miller and Hunter families get justice and closure for their loved ones. If you know something that could help with this case or if you were around or near the area those years ago and may have information or even a tip, please say something.
