As Thanksgiving approaches, local churches and community groups are preparing to serve hundreds of families across our communities. A season typically marked by togetherness is being lifted even higher this year by a wave of community dinners, mission fundraisers, and holiday outreach events.

Poplar Spring AME Church in Laurens will host a Community Thanksgiving Harvest Feast on Thanksgiving morning, inviting anyone in need of a holiday meal. Hosted by A Graceful Mission, the event will offer warm plates beginning at 10:30 a.m., along with free clothes and shoes for those in need.

In Enoree, neighbors are gathering early for a series of Sunday events. First Baptist Church of Enoree will host a Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Sunday, Nov. 23 at 6 p.m., sponsored by Luck Stone. Fellowship, and a meal will welcome families from throughout the area.

Another Enoree church—Enoree First Free Will Baptist—is planning a Fall Fellowship on Nov. 23 at 6 p.m., complete with bonfires, hot dogs, cider, s’mores, and hot cocoa. Everyone is invited, organizers shared, offering a chance for families to enjoy the season together.

From warm meals to mission work, and from bonfires to pies, local congregations are ensuring that this season is filled not only with celebration, but with compassion and community spirit.
