On November 21, 2025, Dr. Emmanuel Nji Tita, President of Friends of Ambazonia Incorporated participated in a major political gathering at Mar-a-Lago as an invited guest of The Whatley Victory Committee. The event brought together high-profile leaders across American political, faith, and business sectors in support of Michael Whatley, Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate representing North Carolina.

Co-hosts included The Honorable Barbara Feingold, Congressman Dan Meuser, Adam Kidan, Joe Pissa, Pastor Lorenzo Sewell, and Jim Worthington—figures well known within conservative and national policy circles. The luncheon underscored the Republican Party’s momentum as it promotes emerging candidates and strengthens relationships with influential advocacy groups.

A Strategic Platform for Ambazonia Advocacy
For Friends of Ambazonia Incorporated, attending the gathering was far more than a ceremonial appearance. It offered a strategic platform to elevate global awareness of the humanitarian and political crisis in the former British Southern Cameroons—known as Ambazonia—and to strengthen alliances with U.S. policymakers.
Throughout the event, Dr. Tita engaged with leaders to highlight the gravity of the crisis, which humanitarian observers often describe as one of the world’s most underreported struggles for self-determination.
“Our people have suffered for too long in silence,” Dr. Tita said. “We will continue to engage, build relationships, and raise awareness in every space available to us—whether in Washington, DC; New York, or in Palm Beach, FL—until justice and freedom prevail for the people of Ambazonia.”

Elevating a Long-Overlooked Humanitarian Crisis
Friends of Ambazonia Incorporated, a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has been an active voice for peaceful advocacy, focusing on human rights, recognition, and the pursuit of self-determination for the English-speaking regions of Cameroon. Its work includes:

Growing Attention in Washington, DC
Advocacy around the crisis has begun gaining traction in Congress. U.S. Senator Jim Risch of Idaho, ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has publicly condemned ongoing abuses in Cameroon. Risch has applauded recent U.S. visa restrictions targeting individuals responsible for undermining peace efforts and has supported bipartisan resolutions calling for targeted sanctions.
Risch has repeatedly described the situation in the English-speaking regions as a severe humanitarian tragedy, noting “countless atrocities and grave suffering” that have failed to receive sufficient international action. He has also criticized the Cameroonian government for unlawful detentions and what he called a “sham election.”

Expanding Diplomatic Footprint
Dr. Tita’s presence at Mar-a-Lago reflects the organization’s expanding diplomatic strategy. In recent months, Friends of Ambazonia Incorporated representatives have engaged lawmakers, faith leaders, policy think tanks, and international advocacy networks to elevate Ambazonia’s humanitarian and geopolitical importance—particularly within the increasingly strategic Gulf of Guinea region.
The organization remains steadfast in its mission: expanding awareness, strengthening partnerships, and securing international recognition of the crisis facing the Southern Cameroons. Through continued peaceful diplomacy, Friends of Ambazonia Incorporated hopes to ensure that the voices of the Ambazonian people are amplified and that meaningful steps are taken toward a free and independent Ambazonia.
