City of Woodruff: October 2025 Police Report Summary

The Woodruff Police Department responded to 79 incidents during October 2025, reflecting a mixture of routine calls, property crimes, violent offenses, and traffic-related violations. Below is a summary of the month’s activity.
Violent & Major Offenses
• Kidnapping: 1 incident reported at Freeman Court (Oct. 28).
• Armed Robbery: 1 roadside robbery reported near Miller Road/Connie Drive (Oct. 1).
• Burglary/Breaking & Entering: 1 incident on Wofford Street (Oct. 27).
• Criminal Sexual Conduct:
• 1 incest case (Edgewood Circle, Oct. 1).
• 1 CSC with a minor, 1st degree (same location/date).
Property Crimes
Larceny/Theft:
• 1 theft from building (Eva Lane).
• 3 thefts from motor vehicles (W. Peachtree St., S. Main St., W. Georgia St.).
• 8 larceny – all other incidents across several neighborhoods including South Main, Haddon Trail, Chamblin Street, Carlton Duvall Drive, Wofford St., and North Main.
• Motor Vehicle Theft: 1 incident on West Georgia Road (Oct. 26).
• Vandalism: 1 incident on Wofford Street (Oct. 27).
Drugs, Alcohol & DUI
• Drug/Narcotic Violations: 5 incidents, including simple possession and narcotic violations on Highway 101, Karatha Court, North Main, Church Street, and Varner Road.
• Driving Under the Influence: 2 DUI incidents (Laurens Rd./S. Pearson St. and Cross Anchor Rd./Varner Rd.).
• Liquor Law Violations: 1 incident on Laurens Rd./S. Pearson St.
Domestic Violence
A total of 5 domestic violence incidents, including one 1st degree case:
• Locations included N. Main Street, W. Peachtree St., Buncombe St., Wolverine Lane, and Freeman Court.
Runaways
• 2 runaway juvenile cases, located on Woodman Avenue and North Main Street.
Traffic, Vehicle & Public Safety Incidents
A combined 22 traffic-related offenses, including:
• Driving under suspension (multiple cases)
• Operating uninsured vehicles
• Improper tags and registration violations
• Speeding and defective equipment
• Open container violations
• Hit-and-run (unattended vehicle)
• Traffic collisions, roadway hazards, or tow requests
These incidents were spread across Highway 101, Highway 221, North Main Street, West Peachtree Street, Millen Drive, Church Street, Cross Anchor Road, and additional high-traffic corridors.
Other Calls for Service
• Warrant services: Multiple arrests and attempts throughout the month.
• Information-only reports: Agency assists, disturbances, welfare checks, and traffic stops.
• Trespass notices: 2 issued (East Griffith Street and Chamblin Street).
