The Woodruff Times has received an update from the Spartanburg County Clerk of Court regarding the status of the cases involving David Michael Harman, who was arrested on November 24, 2025.

Bond is expected to be set in General Sessions Court, most likely in January 2026.

Harman’s initial appearance is currently scheduled for January 22, 2026. The Clerk notes that if Harman remains detained at that time, he will not attend that procedural hearing.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office confirms that Harman remains confined.

The Woodruff Times will continue to monitor this case and provide updates as new information becomes available.

Background on the Initial Arrest
According to the original press release from the Woodruff Police Department, Harman was arrested after a former employee of Sun Quest Tanning, located at 339 South Main Street, reported multiple incidents of sexual assault that allegedly occurred while she was employed at the business. Detectives launched an investigation, which led to a search warrant for the premises due to the presence of surveillance cameras.

During the execution of the search warrant, investigators reportedly found multiple firearms and illegal narcotics inside the business. As a result, Harman was charged with:
• Four counts of Assault and Battery, 1st Degree
• Possession With Intent to Distribute (PWID) Marijuana
• PWID Schedule II Narcotics
• Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
• Possession of Ammunition by a Convicted Felon

Police noted that additional charges could be pursued as the investigation continues. Following his arrest, Harman was transported to the Spartanburg County Detention Center.
