The “Tasting”, hosted by Stone Soup Storytelling on December 15th, was a roaring success. There were plenty of favorite Christmas treats.

The Pulled Pork won 1st Place. The Foursome of Grilled Ham, Turkey, and Cheese sandwiches and the Macaroni and Cheese tied for 2nd Place.

The Australian Baby Fruitcakes took 1st Place, and the Thumbprint Cookies won 2nd Place. The Coca-Cola chocolate Cake won Honorable Mention. We also enjoyed Gingerbread and a huge assortment of sugar cookies.

Wade Morgan played the piano. We sang along, and a joyful time was had by all.

On January 19th, The Woodruff Times and Stone Soup volunteers will be cooking at Woodruff’s Soup Kitchen at 340 McArthur Street. If possible, join us early to lend a hand. Service will be between 11:30 and 12:30. We look forward to assisting their staff and plan surprises.

We will return to THE MUSE, 134 South Main Street, Woodruff, in February for The Tasting of Chocolates and Romantic Dishes for a Sweetheart Supper. Enter your favorite recipes at Woodruff Times Recipe Challenge and plan to win.
