As Spartanburg School District Four welcomes spring and looks ahead to the close of a historic school year, excitement is building for the 2026–2027 academic year. Key infrastructure improvements are already underway to support that momentum.

SCDOT-required construction is in progress at Miller Road and Cross Anchor Road, where a road widening project and the addition of a traffic signal are designed to improve traffic flow and enhance safety ahead.

District officials anticipate a significant increase in daily traffic once the school begins operations. Dr. Aaron Fulmer, Superintendent emphasized that student, family, and staff safety is a top priority.

“Our focus is ensuring safe and efficient access to the new campus for everyone,” Dr. Fulmer said.
Alongside roadway upgrades, the district’s systemwide transition plan—including the relocation of teachers and select grade levels—is actively underway and is expected to be completed by mid-summer, positioning the district for a strong start in August 2026.
