The Woodruff Times is a locally owned and operated community newspaper serving Woodruff and the surrounding areas of Spartanburg County. Founded in 2019, the paper was created with a simple mission: to provide accurate, timely, and meaningful local news that matters to the people who live here.
We cover city and county government, schools, public safety, local businesses, sports, community events, obituaries, and public notices. Our focus is hyperlocal—telling the stories that larger outlets often overlook and serving as a reliable record of our community.
As an independent publication, The Woodruff Times is committed to responsible journalism, transparency, and fairness. We believe an informed community is a stronger community, and we take seriously the trust our readers place in us.
Published weekly in print and online, The Woodruff Times exists to inform, connect, and preserve the history of the place we call home.
Mission Statement
The mission of The Woodruff Times is to provide accurate, relevant, and interesting information about what is going on in our community. We seek to inspire readers to engage in our community to make it a better place now and for future generations. This mission will guide our daily work.
