Revolutionary Women

March is traditionally Women’s History Month in the United States.  What do we really know and understand about the various roles – both ordinary and heroic – played by women during the American Revolution.  We know about Betsy Ross, but what do we really know about the complex, difficult, and amazing lives of women during the Revolution?
