Myers named Spirit of Champions Scholarship Recipient

Earlier this year, the Woodruff High Athletic Alumni Association announced that Christopher Meyers was its 2019 “Spirit of Champions” Scholarship recipient.


The scholarship was for $2,000 and has been applied to his tuition at the University of South Carolina, where he plans to major in computer science.


Myers ran track for six years, cross country for five years, and was a four-year letterman in both sports. He was voted Most Valuable Runner for cross country for two years, Most Valuable Distance Runner in 2018, and Most Valuable Event in 2019. He was named All-Region for cross country twice, and All-Region for track five times.


For those who would like to support the scholarship program, membership dues are $15 per year. Woodruff High School alumni, school administrators, coaches, volunteer support staff and Wolverine fans may become members.

2040 SJ Workman Highway, Woodruff, SC 29388.
