The fourth annual Young Miss & Master Woodruff Pageant will be held on Saturday, Aug. 29 in the Woodruff City Hall auditorium.
“Unlike Miss Woodruff & Miss Woodruff Teen Pageant, this pageant is for boys and girls from newborn and up, we even have divisions for mom and grandma too! The winners of this pageant will become a part of what I call the Woodruff Royalty. Our royalty serve our community during their reigns,” said Stephanie Neale, owner and director of both Woodruff pageants.
The pageant was originally scheduled to take place on May 30, but was rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To comply with CDC recommendations, Neale said that she is prepping the auditorium with several hand sanitizer stations. All staff will be wearing masks. Attendance will be limited, and all chaperones and attendees will be asked to wear masks. The auditorium will be sectioned off to allow for social distancing.
“We have had an amazing amount of interest and entries for this year’s pageant. People are starting to look forward to this pageant each year and I believe the pageant this year will help people feel a little normal in our new normal.”
The deadline to apply to participate in the pageant is Aug. 20.
