The Woodruff Times reached out to Southeastern Grocers, Inc. and asked them to repsond to whether the Woodruff Bi-Lo location was closing or not. Last night we received a response from the Director of Corporate Communications for Southeastern Grocers, Inc. He said, “I can confirm that this store has not been sold to Food Lion as we’re still pursuing strategic options for this location.”

We also reached out to Woodruff’s City Manager Lee Bailey. Bailey said, “I do know that Food Lion is not going in the current location of Bi-Lo. At this point I do know the lease agreement between the owner and Southeastern Grocers is set to expire on March 31, 2021. The City is in current talks with multiple grocery stores for multiple locations over the past year. We are aware that our citizens need multiple options and will strive to make that happen in the future.”

The Woodruff Times will continue to monitor the siuation and keep you informed as new information is made available to us.

  1. Would love to see Piggly Wiggly come to the BiLo location. It would be a great opportunity for them to come back to the area with all of the growth coming.
