National Day of Prayer is the first Thursday in May. This year’s event will be Thursday, May 6. The Woodruff area event is at McKinney Park Amphitheater at 6:30 pm.
There will be live worship music along with community leaders and intercessors leading in prayer.
The theme this year is “Lord Pour Out Your Love, Life, and Liberty.” The scripture reference used is 2 Corinthians 3:17, “The Spirit is the Lord and where the Spirit is there is Liberty.”
There will also be a tent set up at Block 224 on Main Street in Woodruff before the event to pray with people and give information on the event from 10:00 am-5:30 pm.
Woodruff Upper Room Prayer Group is organizing the event. They have a weekly prayer day every Wednesday at Humble Grounds Coffee Cafe from 10:00 am- 8:00 pm. The public is welcome to attend.
