The Woodruff Police Department was excited to welcome the community back to McKinley Park for the annual National Night Out gathering on Tuesday, August 3. Approximately 400 people showed up to enjoy the festivities.
The event hosted children’s activities, hot dogs and hamburgers, cotton candy, and more. A raffle was held featuring nearly $2,000 worth of prizes, including bicycles, scooters, lawn tools, and more. There were also performances, including by the Honey Beez from Bee Hive Creative Dance.
There was also a blood drive to help boost the area’s blood supply, and approximately 25 people donated.
National Night Out is an annual community-building event the promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
