Sunday, July 28, 2021, was the last time Shelley Gama saw her boyfriend Steven ‘Tyler’ Roberts. Shelley says that Tyler left her house on the evening of July 28, 2021. Shelley says he was very agitated, and she wasn’t sure if he had had anything to eat. She had been concerned about him for a few weeks. Shelley says that Tyler had gotten sick in May and had a catheter in his bladder. He had been having problems since an accident when he was 15 injured his urethra. Shelley said the catherter bothered him all the time. It slowed him down, and he was on five to six different medications. Tyler had made plans to see a specialist at Duke. When Tyler left her house that night, he told her he was going to North Carolina to visit his aunt. After three to five days of not talking or receiving any texts from him, she began to worry. On Tuesday, August 18, Shelley received a text from Tyler’s aunt. She was asking Shelley if she had talked to Tyler. This was when Shelley learned Tyler had not been to visit his aunt in North Carolina. Shelley filed a missing person’s report with Spartanburg County Sheriff’s office on Friday, August 20. On Saturday, August 21, while helping look for Tyler, some of Shelley’s friends discovered Tyler’s truck at a residence on Harrington Street in Enoree, SC. Shelley went to get the truck and found Tyler’s clothes and medicines in the truck, but no sign of his tools, keys, wallet, or phone.
