Woodruff Police Department released the following statement. The story is developing and we will keep you informed.
On 02/29/22024 the Woodruff Police Department with the assistance of the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office served arrest warrants on Jeffrey Ryan Hoffhaus (37 years of age) of Woodruff, SC.
These arrest warrants were because of an ongoing investigation the Woodruff Police Department is working on in conjunction with the South Carolina Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Taskforce. Although Mr. Hoffhaus was taken into custody on the following charges, this is still an active investigation as we are attempting to determine if there are any additional victims.
Mr. Hoffhaus’s charges are as follows:
Three counts of First-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor (§16-15-395)
Three counts of Third-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor (§16-15-410)
Mr. Hoffhaus will be held at the Spartanburg County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
