The Woodruff Police Department responded to 78 incidents during May 2025, according to the department’s monthly report. The report covers offenses between May 1 and May 31 and includes a wide range of calls from assault and burglary to drug offenses and traffic violations.

• Assaults:
  
  • 1 aggravated assault was reported on Eva Lane.
    
  • 5 simple assaults occurred across locations including South Main Street, McArthur Street, Freeman Court, and Aurelia Court.
    
• Domestic Violence:
  
  • 6 domestic-related incidents were recorded, including two at Evaliegh Street and Woody Court on the same day.
    
• Thefts and Property Crimes:
  
  • 4 thefts from vehicles or of personal property occurred, with one burglary at a commercial suite on Highway 221.
