Woodruff Police Responded to 93 Incidents in January

The Woodruff Police Department responded to 93 incidents during January 2026, according to the department’s monthly offense report covering January 1 through January 31.


Property Crimes Included Vandalism and Burglary Cases

Property crimes accounted for a significant portion of reported activity. Officers responded to eight incidents of vandalism and five burglary or breaking and entering cases. Additional theft-related offenses included one motor vehicle theft, one theft from a motor vehicle, and one theft of motor vehicle parts or accessories.


Assault and Domestic Violence Incidents Reported

Violent and domestic-related incidents included three reports of simple assault, one assault by intimidation, and four domestic violence cases. Two individuals were charged with resisting arrest during separate incidents.


Drug and Weapon Violations Contributed to Enforcement Activity

Drug and weapon violations also contributed to enforcement activity. Officers reported eight drug or narcotic violations, including possession and distribution-related charges, and four weapon law violations involving unlawful possession of firearms or ammunition.


Traffic Enforcement and Public Safety Stops Made Up Largest Share

Traffic enforcement and public safety stops made up the largest share of police activity, including multiple cases involving suspended licenses, uninsured vehicles, speeding violations, and warrant service. Two individuals were charged with driving under the influence, and two liquor law violations were reported.


Police Responded to Variety of Service Calls

Police also responded to a variety of service calls, including disorderly conduct, threat reports, animal complaints, hit-and-run incidents, and issued four trespass notices during the month.

The Woodruff Police Department continues routine patrol and enforcement efforts to address criminal activity and ensure public safety throughout the community.
