The Mossy Magnolia Home and Garden is a chic, boutique-style shop that’s quickly making a name for itself in downtown Woodruff. Inspired by his garden nursery in Orangeburg, owner Scott Terry opened the store at 118 E. Hayne Street to bring a fresh and stylish retail experience to the area.
As the only store of its kind in Woodruff, The Mossy Magnolia offers a thoughtfully curated selection of seasonal and home décor, including chinoiserie vases, ginger jars, tea towels, and throw pillows. Sports fans will appreciate the variety of Clemson and Carolina-themed gifts, while snack lovers can enjoy gourmet treats like nuts, popcorn, cheese straws, and toffee. There’s even a cozy coffee bar to enjoy while you shop.
Garden enthusiasts will find a delightful collection of books, tools, birdhouses, and bird feeders. The shop also carries unique gifts for men—socks, coffee mugs, bottle openers, and valet trays, among others.
One of the most exciting features is the store’s upcoming expansion into its outdoor space, which will include pots, landscaping plants, birdbaths, and fresh flowers—enhancing its garden-inspired appeal even further.
When asked why he chose Woodruff, Terry simply said they “just like Woodruff,” calling it a “beautiful old building.” And that building, now thoughtfully revamped, adds a touch of historic Southern charm to the experience.
Open Wednesday through Saturday, The Mossy Magnolia Home and Garden offers something for everyone. It’s a welcome and stylish addition to the growing vibrancy of downtown Woodruff.
