In Spartanburg School District Four, it is often the students who make the district truly special—and on April 3, that spirit was on full display.
At Woodruff High School, members of WHO—Wolverines Helping Others—stepped into a world of imagination as they supported the annual Storybook Character Parade.

The student-led service group embraced the moment, channeling their inner child to bring beloved storybook characters to life for younger students.

Dressed as familiar favorites, the WHO students greeted children with smiles, laughter, and enthusiasm, creating an atmosphere filled with joy and excitement. Their presence helped transform a simple school event into a memorable experience for elementary participants, many of whom were seeing their favorite characters come alive right before their eyes.

The event highlighted more than just creativity—it reflected the culture of service and leadership that defines Spartanburg School District Four. Through initiatives like WHO, students learn the value of giving back, building connections, and making a positive impact in their community.

Moments like the Storybook Character Parade serve as a reminder that in District Four, student leadership and compassion help shape an environment where everyone feels seen, supported, and inspired.
