Woodruff’s 3-star Tight End Ready for a Huge Season for the Wolverines

MiCah McClintock has made it official. He will be an Owl.
Woodruff’s 3-star tight end is one of the best in the state, and on June 24, he made his college commitment to Florida Atlantic University.
McClintock likes how the Owls incorporate tight ends into their offense, and that knowledge is one of the main reasons he chose them over his other two finalists, North Carolina and Coastal Carolina.
“What stands out about FAU is how much their tight ends are involved in their offense,” he explained. Not only in the run game, but in the passing game as well.”
MiCah is a big-time playmaker.McClintock played his freshman season at Woodruff before transferring, but decided to come home to play his final year. He has had a tremendous summer in 7-on-7 passing competitions, which led to a late boom in his recruitment, including offers from Louisville and UNC.
Most important, according to MiCah, was to bring his recruitment to a close before the start of the season so he can focus on the field and the Wolverines’ quest for a state title.
“It was highly important to me to have a home before the season started because this recruiting stuff is a business and the longer I wait, the more slots that would be filled,” he said.
As for the type of player the Owls are getting… “They are getting a dawg,” proclaimed McClintock.
Woodruff enters the 2026 season with extremely high expectations and a plethora of elite talent, especially on the offensive side of the ball. With his college home locked in, McClintock wants to bring a title home for the Wolverines for the first time in 42 years.
“My goal is to lead this team to a state championship,” he stated. “It’s as simple as that.”
