It is the season for blueberries. I only have one bush, but it puts out hundreds of blueberries every year.
And every year I start picking, I am reminded that God speaks to me so clearly at that bush.
It may sound strange, but when you are looking for God, you will find Him everywhere! Even at a blueberry bush.
As I started picking the berries, He called something to my attention. The biggest, deepest blue berries seemed to be hiding.
Most of them were underneath the leaves. If you were looking eye level at the bush, they were hard to see. So, I began to lean over. They still were barely visible.
I finally had to get as low as I possibly could. Almost on the ground and look up. And there they all were.
But you see, I could not see them from an ordinary perspective. I had to get low. And that is when God showed up!
He began to show me how it is the same with people. You need to get low, be humble, and look for people. Especially the ones who feel invisible, not easily seen.
Sometimes they, or maybe I should say we, are covered by the “leaves” of life. YOU are seen. We are all seen by God.
He is called “El Roi” in the book of Genesis, which means “the God who sees me.” So, if that’s you, know you are not alone!
Let’s get low, humble ourselves, and peel back those leaves of life. God sees you…and so do I!
Until Next Time….
