Owners Faith Lyndell and Tia Phillips mark the business’s expansion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on West Georgia Street

Georgia and Mane Salon celebrated the grand opening of its new location Thursday, Aug. 20, marking a new chapter for the locally owned business.
Owners Faith Lyndell and Tia Phillips were joined by community members and City of Woodruff representatives for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the salon’s new location, 113 W. Georgia St.
The move represents an expansion for Georgia and Mane, which previously operated across the street from its new home.
During the ceremony, the owners were presented with a certificate commemorating the salon’s grand opening. The certificate was signed by Woodruff Mayor Kenneth Gist and City Manager Lee Bailey.
“We want to thank y’all for moving across the street,” Assistant City Manager Brandon McMahan said during the presentation. “We appreciate y’all and wish y’all nothing but great success.”
The gathering also included a prayer asking for continued growth, prosperity and new relationships for the business. Those attending then joined Lyndell and Phillips for the ceremonial ribbon-cutting.
With its move to the new location, Georgia and Mane Salon adds another growing, locally owned business to the West Georgia Street corridor while continuing to serve its established customers.
The celebration highlighted not only the salon’s new space, but also the determination of two local business owners who have turned their vision into an opportunity for continued growth in Woodruff.
