BMW Manufacturing to Host Careers Day for More Than 900 Students

BMW Manufacturing will welcome more than 900 middle and high school students to its Technical Training Center in Greer on Oct. 6 for Manufacturing Careers Day 2026.

The event is designed to introduce students to career opportunities in South Carolina’s manufacturing industry through hands-on activities, facility tours, interactive exhibits and conversations with industry professionals.

Held during National Manufacturing Month, the event will include representatives from more than 12 organizations, including BMW departments, supplier partners, technical colleges, workforce development agencies and educational institutions. Students will have the opportunity to learn more about modern manufacturing and the technologies shaping the industry.

“Manufacturing Careers Day reflects BMW’s commitment to developing the future workforce and strengthening the communities where we operate,” said Paul Sinanian, manager of Qualification, Apprentices and Future Talent Programs. “By giving students the opportunity to explore careers in manufacturing and connect with industry experts, we hope to inspire the next generation of talent and help them envision their future in South Carolina’s manufacturing industry.”

Students will be introduced to career paths in manufacturing, engineering, automation, robotics, logistics, technology, skilled trades and business operations. The event is also intended to help students make connections between what they are learning in the classroom and potential careers after graduation.

Manufacturing Careers Day Details

Manufacturing Careers Day will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the BMW Technical Training Center on S.C. Highway 101 in Greer.

BMW Manufacturing in South Carolina

BMW Manufacturing’s Spartanburg County plant is the company’s largest manufacturing facility in the world. The plant employs more than 11,000 associates and assembles approximately 1,500 vehicles each day. BMW Group has invested more than $14.8 billion in its South Carolina operations since 1992.
