CLEMSON, S.C. — President Donald Trump is expected to visit the Upstate next week for a political rally supporting U.S. Sen. Darline Graham as the November midterm elections approach.
The event, advertised for Wednesday, October 21, is expected to draw attention to South Carolina’s U.S. Senate race and bring supporters from across the Upstate.
The rally is scheduled for 7 p.m., with doors opening at 3:30 p.m., according to the event flyer. The flyer lists Clemson as the host city, with the final location to be announced.
South Carolina Public Radio reported Thursday that the Republican National Committee announced the visit and provided the same start and door-opening times.
Trump’s planned appearance comes less than two weeks before Election Day on November 3, as candidates enter the final stretch of campaigning.
The Woodruff Times will continue monitoring developments surrounding the planned presidential visit, including venue details and any potential traffic impacts.
