Polly’s Porch

Who is Polly?

The name Polly carries a special connection to Woodruff’s history. Historical records show that
“Polly” was the nickname for Mary Woodruff Allen, the daughter of Joseph Woodruff, whose family
helped lay the foundation for the community that would eventually become Woodruff.

Today, Polly’s Porch is a place for hometown conversation — the kind that happens over coffee,
on the front porch, or between neighbors who care about their community.
