Brookstone Terrace (the former Montrose Manor) is hosting an Alzheimer’s Walk to Remember event on Saturday Oct. 17 from 9 – 11 a.m.
Mayor Kenneth Gist will kick off the event with a welcome message.
The walk will start on Main Street and end at Brookstone Terrace at 80 Medical Center Drive in Woodruff.
The Brookstone Terrace Memory Keepers encourage participants to wear purple and ask for local businesses to decorate door and window with purple in an effort to “paint the town purple” (Purple is the color of the Alzheimer’s Association).
