Woodruff Issues 65 Building and Electrical Permits in January
A total of 65 building and electrical permits were issued in January 2026, reflecting continued residential growth and steady construction activity across Woodruff and surrounding neighborhoods.
New Residential Construction Drives Growth Across Expanding Subdivisions
The majority of permits were for new residential construction, particularly in expanding subdivisions such as Hart Townes, Waverly Springs, Rutledge Estates, and Vickery Station. Numerous permits were issued for new homes on streets including Hart Townes Way, Toppit Court, Coltley Drive, Sibson Lane, Josephine Drive, and Parry Court, highlighting ongoing development in several areas of the community.
Additional residential construction permits were issued for properties on New Bethel Road, Woodcot Drive, Stratter Drive, Wolf King Way, and Pierett Circle, further contributing to the area’s housing inventory. Renovation permits were also issued for existing homes, including electrical rewiring, window replacements, and general renovations.
Limited Commercial Improvements and Modern Electrical Upgrades
Commercial improvements were limited but included renovation work at 308 South Main Street for new storefront signage and upgrades to electrical and plumbing systems at 116 East Hayne Street.
Several electrical permits were issued for modern upgrades such as EV charger installations and generator-ready electrical systems, reflecting evolving infrastructure needs for residential properties.
Continued Permit Activity Signals Strong Development Momentum
The continued volume of permits, particularly for new home construction, underscores sustained residential growth and investment throughout the Woodruff area as development remains active heading into 2026.
