Woodruff’s Mica Kidd Earns Recognition at The Citadel

Mica Bradley Kidd of Woodruff, South Carolina, has completed Recognition Day at The Citadel Military College of South Carolina, earning his place as a fully recognized member of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets.

Kidd is the son of Allan and Heather Kidd of Cowpens and the grandson of Gary and Teresa Kidd of Woodruff.

At The Citadel, he is majoring in aerospace engineering with a minor in military history. In addition to his academic achievements, Kidd was selected to join The Citadel Regimental Pipes Band as a snare drummer, becoming the first student from Spartanburg County School District 4 to earn this distinction.

Following graduation, Kidd plans to commission into the United States Air Force as a second lieutenant, where he will train to become a pilot.
Kidd expressed his appreciation to those who supported him along the way, offering special thanks to his teachers at Woodruff High School and band instructor Jonathon Gilstrap for their encouragement and guidance.
