Do you see it? The landscape on top is mirrored EXACTLY on the water.
Exactly.
The water acts as a mirror, bearing the image of what surrounds it. In the same manner, we are to bear the image of Christ. Exactly. What He does, we are to do. His character is to be our character.
His mission – our mission. His love for humanity should be our love for humanity. I stopped in my tracks as God whispered this truth. Sometimes it feels better to mirror the world. Get cut off in traffic, mirror the world.
Betrayed by a friend, mirror the world. Life gets tough. But we have a God who knows every detail of our lives. He extends grace.
But His ultimate desire is for us to be like Him. The Bible tells us to “Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.
Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ.” (Eph 5:1-2) Every day we wake up, we get to choose.
Will I reflect God or the world? Find some glass cleaner. Polish that mirror and go reflect the goodness of God. The world needs You today.
