Some friendships withstand the passage of time, some memories never fade and some connections remain special no matter how many years pass. This weekend, members of the Woodruff High School Class of ’76 will come together for a celebration that is not simply a reunion; it is a homecoming.
The reunion committee is delighted to announce the upcoming SPIRIT of ’76 Class Reunion, beginning Friday, Sept. 25, with a tour of the new high school, followed by a meet-and-greet at Tap Three at 6 p.m.
The reunion celebration will be held Saturday, Sept. 26, from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Four Points by Sheraton Spartanburg. The deadline to pay fees for Saturday’s event has closed.
For the members of the Spirit of ’76 Class, this gathering represents an incredible milestone: 50 years of memories, friendships, life experiences, accomplishments, challenges, laughter and growth.
FIFTY YEARS LATER … AND THE MEMORIES REMAIN
Fifty years can bring countless changes. Lives take different paths. Families grow. Careers begin and end. Communities change, and new generations are welcomed into the world.
Yet there is something uniquely special about reconnecting with the people who shared a chapter of your life during those formative years.
The classmates of the Spirit of ’76 share something that cannot be duplicated: the experience of growing up together, making memories together and embarking on life’s journey around the same time.
For many, this reunion will be an opportunity to look back and remember who they were while celebrating who they have become.
There will undoubtedly be stories to tell, laughter to share, photographs to revisit and memories that come rushing back the moment familiar faces walk through the door.
A NIGHT OF CELEBRATION
The reunion committee has created an evening filled with fellowship, laughter, good food and great memories. Dinner and beverages will be included, giving classmates the opportunity to relax, reconnect and enjoy an evening surrounded by friends from 50 years ago.
This is more than an evening on the calendar. It is a chance to pause from the demands of everyday life and celebrate a shared history. It is a chance to say, “Look how far we’ve come.”
STILL CONNECTED AFTER ALL THESE YEARS
