Crumbl Cookies is facing declining sales and nationwide store closures, raising questions about the popular dessert chain’s future.

According to Restaurant Business, an internal company document showed sales in August 2026 were approximately 70% lower than in August 2024.

The publication also reported at least 57 store closures this year, with subsequent reports placing the number at 60 or more. Approximately 55 franchise locations have reportedly been listed for sale.

Despite these challenges, Crumbl continues operating more than 1,000 locations nationwide.

Here in Upstate South Carolina, Crumbl maintains locations in Greenville, Simpsonville, Greer, Spartanburg, Anderson, and Easley.

As of October 19, no closures have been publicly confirmed at these six locations.

The Woodruff Times will continue following developments and monitoring whether the company’s nationwide challenges affect local businesses.
